Welcome!  I'm glad you stopped by!

Currently, I am dedicating all studio time to creating my new line for The Hearthside Collection.

On a personal note, I FINALLY have a diagnosis as to what has been causing my shoulder pain for the last year and a half -  - calcific tendinitis.  Although it can be painful at times, I am just SO thankful that it is in my left shoulder and not my right (I paint with my right).  With changing some work habits (like working on a table instead of leaning over several paintings spread on the floor) and trying to maintain better posture, I hope that my shoulder hangs in there through this busy, busy time.  Shoulder don't fail me now!  :)

Prairie Hearth Fall Open House

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Prairie Hearth (located in Fremont, Nebraska) is hosting their (20th!!!) Fall Open House August 29-September 1.
I'll be loading up the car this week to deliver my largest collection of work yet.
From pumpkins to pink ribbons, to hearts and welcome signs, I've been working like crazy to create some fun designs just for you.

From going to a peanut-free baseball game, walking the sand bars on the river and taking our first family vacation to visiting many area museums and spending time with family and friends, the summer was packed full of fun and memories.  (These images are from our visit to the Capitol building.)  And although I am so anxious for fall to arrive- - the weather, the decorating, the crafting- - I have a lump in my throat that our family summer time is coming to a close and our first is heading off to kindergarten.  So, in preparation for 'the big day', I'm off to blow up as many balloons as I can to leave as a surprise on her bedroom floor for morning.

Whew.  Busy day.  'Got up before the kiddos did, so I was able to put in a few hours of work in the studio.  'Finished a few paintings, stained a few hanging pieces, fired up the glue gun and also bent wire until my wrist hurt.

This evening I base coated 14 large wood boards, getting them ready for all sorts of painted designs I have floating around in my mind.  I'm thinking big glittered pink breast cancer awareness ribbons, some fun football-themed paintings and loads of fall pumpkins.
If time permits (or if I drink enough coffee), I'd like to experiment with painted burlap hangers and more paper clay ornaments.  So many projects on my 'to do' list.....so little time.
