Spring has sprung at Prairie Hearth boutique located in Fremont, Nebraska.  The store is full of unique, handmade creations.  Tracy, owner of Prairie Hearth, is a wonderfully talented artist who creates paintings, painted furniture and more.  I've just delivered several of my new pieces, including signage and chalkboards!  Take a day trip to Fremont and make your first stop Prairie Hearth.

In addition to Prairie Hearth, there is antiquing, a large quilt shop, scrapbook store, etc.  My super creative friend, Cara, introduced me to the Estate Dispersal Store.  You've gotta see this.  It's a large place, well organized and has an ever-changing inventory.  Check out their site and calendar:

It is a VERY exciting and very busy time for our family.
My youngest niece is getting married!
Her decor (for both the bridal shower and wedding) is a cool mix of rustic elegance.  Here are a few examples of what we've put together...
the card box...

and galvanized vases for bouquets...

She's adding some 'bling' here and there as well.  I am so excited to see it all put together.  It's going to be beautiful!

I am smiling from ear to ear because we my oldest nephew is getting married as well!  I've been working on some things for his bride-to-be's bridal shower.  In keeping with her wedding colors (grey and yellow--which are SO clean and fresh together), I decided to try making some tissue paper flowers.

These were so fun and easy!  I can't wait to do more of these for birthday parties and holidays.  Pick out a pack of fun tissue, fold accordion style, wrap wire around the middle, clip the ends (either rounded, pointed or fringed) and then gently pull apart each layer of tissue.  Seriously, it's that simple.  I experimented with different sizes and cut edges.  I am looking for excuses to make more.
